Dharmic Path (dharmicpath.com) is a free guide to Hinduism: a Hindu calendar, prayers, scriptures, courses, rites of passage and stories. By using it you agree to these simple terms.
Free to use
The app is free, with no ads or purchases. You may use it for your own devotion, study and teaching, and share verses and pages from it with others.
The texts and pictures
The scriptures come from public-domain editions and translations, and open datasets, credited on the app's About these translations page. Translations, lessons, guides, stories and paintings written or made for Dharmic Path may be shared for non-commercial purposes with credit to Dharmic Path. Please ask before using them commercially.
A guide, not the final word
We take great care with the texts, dates and rites, but mistakes can happen, and customs differ between regions, traditions and families. The calendar's times are calculated and may differ slightly from your local panchang or mandir. For ceremonies, fasts and important dates, follow your family's tradition and your priest or teacher. If you find a mistake, please use Report a mistake in the app or write to [email protected].
Nothing in the app is medical, legal or financial advice. Fasting and physical practices should suit your health; ask a doctor if you are unsure.
Your data
What you keep in the app stays on your device, or in your own Google Drive if you turn on sync. See the privacy policy. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything important to you.
Recordings you offer
If you send us a recording, you confirm that you made it or have permission to share it, and you allow Dharmic Path to include it in the app for everyone to hear, with credit if you wish. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use.
Changes
We may update these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date.
